JOB SUMMARY:
The Proposal Specialist is an individual contributor role responsible for receiving customer inquiries,
preparing cost estimates and proposals, and sales support activities. The position combines working
independently along with collaboration with our commercial team and other functions throughout the
RMS organization in support of our customers’ needs and RMS growth objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Job Functions :
Develop a thorough understanding of RMS commercial processes, capabilities, and
differentiators to support our business growth and quality objectives.
Review customer inquiries, develop estimated costs and prepare proposals for spare parts and
engineered orders for rotating equipment.
Support productivity and process improvement initiatives to improve our ability to respond to
customer needs.
Review and resolve any customer order discrepancies.
Enter customer orders and ensure timely project turnover to the execution team.
Support commercial excellence activities including on-boarding new customers, maintaining
customer Terms and Conditions database, order forecasting, and inside sales.
General:

Education:
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent professional
experience.

Qualifications and Skills
Customer service, inside sales and/or technical experience preferred

OTHER INFORMATION:
The position will be an on-site position at our Bethlehem, PA facility.
Travel time is expected to be 0-5%
This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week.
Additional hours, including evenings or weekends may be required based on business needs.

Work Environment
This position is primarily located in an office setting. However, while performing the duties of this
position, the employee may occasionally work / enter a shop environment with exposure to moving
mechanical parts. While the work area may be described as generally clean, safe, and "not loud", there
will be machining operations that generate moderate noise and metal particles. Employee will at all
times abide by RMS safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE while in these areas.
