Job Summary:
The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for all incoming and outgoing inventory. The ideal candidate for this position will thrive in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. They will be able to communicate effectively and possess strong leadership abilities and soft skills. They will be a self-starter, able to adapt and prioritize in a rapidly growing and changing environment, and responsible for all aspects of the warehouse, including the training and development of all warehouse associates.
Duties/Responsibilities:
o Properly maintain warehouse organization to ensure all materials are counted and inventoried correctly, accessible, and are stored safely
o Develop SOPs and make suggestions regarding existing procedures, standards, and equipment to facilitate a safe and efficient work environment
o Correctly complete all required documents such as packing slips, pick lists, and BOLs
o Operates the forklift as necessary, with proper forklift training certificate
o Perform cycle counts when required
o Attend all required safety trainings, follow safety policies, and always demonstrate proper safety protocols
o Provide their direct reports with the necessary tools, proper training, and redirection when needed
o Monitor daily performance metrics and drive productivity standards and production objectives are achieved
o Perform additional duties and responsibilities such as task delegation and systematically follow up on progress reporting
o May provide functional supervision in the absence of the supervisors
o Additional duties as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
o 5 years’ experience in warehouse or logistics operations
o Experience leading a team in a supervisory role (minimum of 3 years preferred)
o High School diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
o Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control
o Ability to get forklift certified
o Thrives on a team where expertise is shared, and feedback is welcomed
o Able to effectively tailor written and verbal communication and style to differing audiences
o Familiarity with NetSuite and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) a plus
o Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
o Requires the ability to perform repetitive physical requirements including, but not limited to, bending, moving your torso, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50lbs
The position requires candidates to be available from 11 am - 7:30 pm Monday - Friday, and possibly on weekends.
Compensation:
Competitive compensation, $18 to $21 an hour, depending on experience. The Company also offers medical, dental, vision, paid sick leave (PSL), and paid time off (PTO).
Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to submit to a pre-employment criminal background check as permitted or required by applicable law.
