Configuration Management Lead - NASA KSC

We are seeking a Configuration Management/Project Manager II to provide documentation and configuration management support for the KSC Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s OCIO and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing NASA TV segments, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world. Jobsite: Kennedy Space Center in Florida, this is a Hybrid Role

This position is within the Service Integration Division which manages numerous IT-related projects across all of Kennedy Space Center.

Daily work includes:

• Take lead on continuous development of the IT Configuration Management Plan and all related components throughout the life cycle management process.
• Utilizing SharePoint and TechDoc to edit, modify permissions, publish documents.
• Reviewing and editing technical documentation for consistency and accuracy.
• Coordinate and facilitate access to Controlled Unclassified information (CUI) within the TechDoc system.
• Reviewing documentation for compliance with NPR 7120.7, documenting and reporting non-compliance items to the project team and leads.
• Delivering training to managers, supervisors, peers and external contractors.
• Tracking action items related to Documentation and Configuration Management through to closure.
• Serve as backup for Physical Configuration Audits and Configuration Management functions.

Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment. This is a hybrid opportunity.

This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize while effectively managing time.

Application of critical thinking and problem solving is essential to be successful in this role.

Minimum Requirements:

Expert in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and TechDoc.

Education and Relevant Work Experience:

BA/BS and 5 years of relevant experience
