We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our engineering team in Chester CT, as a Engineering Technical Support Specialist. This position will provide technical solutions and support to the Customer and Sales Team while being responsible for the validation of customer's window and door hardware applications through fit, form and function.
Responsibilities and goals:

Proficiency with AutoCAD to review and create profile and application drawings

Apply hardware to sample windows and doors in order to "prove out" the application and provide accurate BOM's / DWG's to customer

Assure optimal product fit and functionality within customer's profile

Utilize and maintain drawing database on regular basis
-
Utilize and maintain assigned activities in CRM on a regular basis.

Interface closely and support the Sales Team, existing and prospective customers, R&D, Product Management, Quality Control, Forecast and Customer Service

Conduct on-site customer visits to:
-
Support conversion / Start–up process

Troubleshoot / review existing applications
-
Participate in prospective customer sales presentations

Provide regular updates on all activities on all activities on internal CRM.

Performs other duties as assigned.
System knowledge and competencies:

Microsoft Office

M365

Preferred experience in window and door industry but not required

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills
Requirements:

Preferred Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Degree from a Technical School

Minimum 2 years’ experience, preferably in the building products industry

Travel Requirement approximately 30% within the US & Canada
Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners, printers.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
Full Time (40h/week). OT if business needs required.

Pay Range:
The Salary Range for this position is between $59,000 and $67,000 annually. The actual salary range will depend on varying circumstances and individualized factors, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential hourly pay range for this role.
