Roto-Rooter's outstanding pay and excellent benefits package exceeds that of other trades and vocations, and the pay offered by local plumbing companies. We provide top-pay! Even first year apprentices/ service technicians with no experience can expect to earn $55,000.
Pay goes up quickly year after year as you gain more experience. Our most experienced licensed and Master Plumbers earn more than $100,000 per year. Don't worry about long commutes to the office every day. Stay local and work in the community where you live.
Roto-Rooter will provide an initial 12 weeks of paid service training, plus continuing training as necessary. Your daily job will be providing sewer & drain service to our residential and commercial customers. But, Roto-Rooter also allows you to schedule time riding with, and working alongside, a licensed plumber so you can gain the apprentice hours and knowledge needed to become a licensed plumber. Responsibilities
Roto-Rooter apprentice plumbers/ service technicians use their skills to provide solutions to plumbing and drain problems. In this role, you will perform services for both residential and commercial customers, diagnose problems, and provide cost estimates to close the sale. Next, you'll complete the necessary services for the customer and collect payment. Along the way, you’ll document estimates and invoices in writing and on a provided smart phone.
There are no quotas to meet and we will work with you on a flexible work schedule so you can maintain the work/ home life balance you deserve. We also offer easy transfers to any other Roto-Rooter Branch in the nation, should you ever want to relocate.
Requirements
A minimum of 2 years mechanical experience is preferred, but not required if you are mechanically inclined, have a mechanical background, have good communication skills, are self-motivated, and hold a valid driver's license.
The following military occupations specialties (MOS) are especially strong fits at Roto-Rooter: Army Field 12K, 15B-15Z, 25L, 91A-91Z, 94A-94Z. Navy NEC 6199, 001797, 47-2152, 47-3015, Air Force AFSC 552X5 and Marine Corps 1171 MOS. However, any military-trained individuals, especially those with mechanical skills, have a track record of success at Roto-Rooter.
