AS A PROPOSAL WRITER
You will play a crucial role in our business development process by crafting compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate our value proposition to potential clients. You will collaborate closely with our estimating, business development, marketing, and operations teams to gather information and insights necessary for developing winning proposals that align with client needs and RCI's capabilities.
PROPOSAL WRITER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Proposal Development: Write and edit proposals, bids, and other documents in response to client requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for qualifications (RFQs), and other procurement opportunities. Ensure proposals are compliant, persuasive, and tailored to meet the specific requirements and preferences of each client.
- Content Creation: Create clear, concise, and persuasive content that effectively communicates RCI's unique strengths, capabilities, and value proposition. Develop compelling narratives, case studies, and testimonials that showcase RCI's past successes and expertise.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand client needs, market trends, and competitor offerings. Use insights gathered to tailor proposals and develop competitive positioning strategies that differentiate RCI from competitors.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including estimating, business development, marketing, operations, and subject matter experts, to gather information, insights, and feedback necessary for proposal development. Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion and submission of proposals.
- Quality Assurance: Review and edit proposal content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to RCI's brand standards and messaging guidelines. Conduct quality assurance checks to verify that proposals meet all client requirements and compliance criteria.
- Proposal Management: Manage the end-to-end proposal development process, including scheduling meetings, setting deadlines, and tracking progress. Maintain organized documentation and records of proposal activities, including version control and document management.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and evolving client needs related to landscape construction and maintenance services. Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend enhancements to streamline the proposal development process and increase win rates.
QUALIFICATIONS WE LOOK FOR
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in proposal writing, preferably in construction, landscaping, or related industries.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from various sources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with proposal management software is a plus.

· Starting at $48,000 annually based on experience
