Description:
- Produce photorealistic real-time VFX (e.g., explosions, fire, smoke) using Unreal Engine Niagara and Houdini.
- Work closely with the CG Supervisor, Art Director, and other artists to bring life to gameplay and cinematics.
- Ensure FX content is performant, within budget, and aligned with project goals.
- Prototype FX and materials to enhance gameplay tone and pacing.
- Work with Leads and Production to estimate and plan FX tasks for upcoming milestones, breakdown deliverables, and share updates.
- Research and document new workflows, contributing to process improvement.
- Be a proactive self-starter that can independently execute high-level direction.
- Inspire and mentor others as a role model of initiative, accountability, and attitude.
Requirements:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in VFX for games, film, or visual effects.
- Strong portfolio showcasing realistic, real-time FX work.
- Proficiency with VFX tools like Houdini, 3ds Max, Maya.
- Strong understanding of in-game FX performance, memory budgets, PBR concepts.
- Bonus: Experience with Unreal Engine, EmberGen, Python scripting, or film FX
Salary : $85,000 - $115,000
