What does a Suites at Rouse Baylor Direct Care Worker I do?
Provide individualized physical, psychological, and social support for residents.
Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with meals, bathing, showering, dressing, grooming (includes nail care, oral hygiene, personal hygiene), ambulation, transferring, monitoring and/or passing of medications, bed making, minor treatments and incontinence care.
Provides resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting residents; answering residents’ questions and requests; and reporting observations of the resident to nursing supervisor.
Ensure that the dignity of all residents is preserved as you carry out working tasks.
Enhances department by working together as a team to accept ownership for tasks while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
What are the requirements to be a Baylor Direct Care Worker I at the Suites at Rouse?
Must be 18 years or older and possess a high school diploma or GED.
Must be willing and able to obtain Direct Care Worker certification through Department of Human Services (DHS).
Must be willing and able to become certified to pass medications.
Must being willing and able to complete annual state required trainings per DHS regulations.
