Route 66 Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Center is looking for a Veterinary Technician that can help create positive change in people’s lives through compassionate care for their pets. While working as part of our dynamic team you will help provide quality veterinary care to our patients and advance your skill as an RVT.

What You’ll Do: During a work shift you will be helping clients and assisting veterinarians. You will be utilizing your skills as an RVT while restraining animals, running diagnostics, monitoring anesthesia, assisting in surgery, and providing hospitalized patient care in our ICU while also learning new procedures! We treat a variety of patients including birds, small mammals, reptiles, cats and dogs. Our technicians’ daily roles range from: Outpatient Technician, Treatment Technician, ICU Technician and Triage Technician. This allows our team to have a variety of experiences during their work week and to hone those skills in all areas.

Who We Want: We are looking for and enthusiastic, personable Veterinary Technician! Someone who can handle the technical aspects of the job while delivering compassionate care to our patients and clients. Clinical experience is a must, at least 2 years of experience is required. As a teaching hospital there are a variety of new experiences to have and procedures to learn, willingness to train others is a must!

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Albuquerque, NM 87108: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Veterinary experience: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Veterinary Technician Certification (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Overnight Shift (Preferred)
• Night Shift (Preferred)
