The team

Finance ensures that Route grows in a sustainable, efficient, and intelligent way, over the short and long-term. This small but mighty team of financial analysts, accountants and other specialists act as trusted partners to the entire 400 person-company, supporting departments in annual budget management, creating regular reports for the board and leadership, streamlining processes, and implementing best practices. They bring the expertise needed to constantly deliver smooth financial operations for Route.

The opportunity

Route Finance is looking for a senior analyst to help contribute to a world class team of Finance professionals supporting the most exciting technology in the consumer space today. In this role you will be responsible for marrying the what and the why of Route's business and be an influential voice in shaping the strategic positioning of the department and company as we expand beyond our incumbent offerings into brand new areas of monetization. This position will engage cross functionally to influence decision making across multiple departments and disciplines, as well as be responsible for up-leveling and developing the FP&A organization as a whole. What you'll do

• Focus Area Management - oversee the day to day financial planning and analysis operations for your designated area of expertise, ensuring execution, and guiding development of financial sophistication
• Contribute to Strategic Direction - be asked to contribute to strategic operating opportunities, including profitability analysis, ad hoc what-if modeling, and other future looking probabilistic scenario assessments. Will be tasked with making data and logic recommendations to the company that incorporate the strategic aims of all areas of the business.
• Innovate Around Obstacles - as a young company, there may be areas we are short on historical data and/or documented processes. You must be comfortable operating in a highly dynamic ambiguous environment and take into account the impact of decisions three or four steps deep.
• Cross Functional Partnering - you will be expected to develop and foster relationships with areas of the business outside Finance, becoming a trusted partner. Expected to be able to articulate the economics of adjacent business functions and advocate for or against recommendations as a nearly organic member of their team.
• Forecasting, Budgeting & Annual Planning - You will be responsible for the forecasting, budgeting, and reporting functions in your area of focus, operating on a set cadence and at the highest levels of detail and execution.
• Fundraising Support - this role will support the fundraising process as the company matures

What we're looking for

• 4 Years Corporate Finance Experience, preferably with a technology firm
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field.
• Proven experience mastering FP&A functions and business partnering relationships
• Demonstrated Strategic Analysis Ability
• MBA; CMA (bonus)

Pay Transparency

Salary for this role: $107,360 - $115,900 bonus

The cash compensation above includes base salary, and is not reflective of potential commission for employees in eligible roles, or annual bonus targets under Route's bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all Route employees are eligible to participate in Routes equity incentive plan to receive stock options per the terms of the agreement. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their career level, skills, experience, specific geographic location qualifications and other job-related reasons.
