Position Available: Corporate Accountant

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia

Role Overview

We are looking for a Corporate Accountant to help with our operation and reporting function in a hybrid work environment. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position is responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and activities with the business and external vendors.

**Please note - you must be legally permitted to work in Canada as this is a position at our head office location in Vancouver**

What you'll do:

• Record and review financial transactions, post journal entries to ensure they are recorded accurately and appropriately
• Assist with accounting operations, including AR and AP
• Support the month-end close and preparation of financial reporting packages by maintaining the general ledger and sub-ledger accounts as needed
• Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate with audit requests and requirements
• Streamline account reconciliations
• Provide support in preparing ad-hoc reporting and data analysis as needed

What You Will Need:

• Relevant accounting experience with a finance team
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent education and experience
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented team player who works well to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent oral and written interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Enthusiastic, positive attitude and open to learning and collaboration
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Quickbooks Online or equivalent is an asset
