Job Posting for Temporary, Part-time Graphic Designer at Rowan College of South Jersey
The Temporary, Part-Time Graphic Designer receives direction from the Manager of Design & Marketing to complete specific jobs as assigned. Materials and access will be provided. Strong communications and technology skills are essential, as well as knowledge of design industry language. Part-time hours to be worked are flexible.
Travel will be required, as this position will work on both the Gloucester and Cumberland Campuses.
This is a temporary, part- time position, ending June 30, 2024.
Applies department style guidelines and branding standards to all assigned projects.
Maintains a schedule and keeps open communication about deadline expectations and assigned workload.
Takes an established design and uses it to expand on additional materials for the marketing campaign or program, e.g. Open House.
Uses provided text, photos, elements, etc. and works independently to create designs/layouts for various media (print, digital) to share with the manager for approval.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Associate degree in graphic design or related field, or degree in progress required.
Minimum of one (1) year experience as a designer
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Strong customer service skills and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to and knowledge of a comprehensive community college philosophy and a student-centered learning environment
Willingness to work a flexible schedule with variable hours, including both evenings and weekends, which may include some travel
