Interior Designer/Project Manager

Position Overview:

As our firm continues to rapidly expand, we are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and highly organized Interior Designer. Our ideal candidate is also experienced and efficient in a project manager role. This is a full-time, in-person position that offers the opportunity to lead and execute high-end residential projects while ensuring seamless deliverables and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Client Relationships: Maintain client relationships including problem solving with a high level of communication. Take leadership in discussions with clients addressing matters pertaining to project timelines as well as any challenges or issues encountered throughout the project.
• Project Management: Manage projects from start to finish for multiple simultaneous projects, from scheduling tradespeople, tracking purchase orders, to resolving issues with vendors. All of this must be accomplished while managing the project from the start through project completion including site visits.
• Site Visits: Conduct thorough site measures and produce detailed, accurate technical design documents.
• Design Conceptualization and Documentation: Develop design concepts for both tradespeople and clients, make furniture and finish selections, create design documents including detailed floor plans, elevations and renderings.
• Presentations: Prepare presentations both digital and physical, and present to the client while managing budgets effectively. Creation of proposals from start to finish.
• Procedures: Manage, streamline, and enhance procedures, checklists, and company data through Google Docs and Mydoma Studio.
• Furniture Installations: Plan and execute furniture installations within a team environment.
• Vendor Relationships: Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hands-on leadership positions within an Interior Design Firm or a Design Build Firm.
• Proficient in AutoCad, Chief Architect, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit and other design software. Familiarity with MyDoma and Design Files is a plus.
• Experience with Google Workspace, Dropbox, Asana, or Trello.
• QuickBooks and Canva knowledge is advantageous.
• Knowledge of draperies including creating and executing work orders and fabric selections.
• Knowledge of furniture quality, manufacturers and materials
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must.
• Ability to occasionally travel out of town to projects as needed.
