Behavioral Technician (ROWI Kids)

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for anything related to the coordination of care for all ROWI Kids clients. The Behavioral Health Technician will coordinate individualized service including orientation, transportation, doctor visits, and schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure programs and services are implemented at the highest standards and clients receive the highest level of care.
  • Responsible for client supervision and ensuring they attend designated groups throughout programming.
  • Facilitate assigned groups and activities.
  • Conduct client orientation for all admits on day of admission including conduct outcome measurement tools (ie PHQ-9, GAD-7, BAM) on a weekly basis.
  • Support compliance with Joint Commission Standards.
  • Document shift reports and share pertinent information with the team.
  • Coordinate the transportation schedule for all clients and drive clients as needed.
  • Complete documentation within a 24 hour window.
  • Document all transportation and group activity in EMR.
  • Administer and submit documentation in EMR for client Urinalysis.
  • Assist with facility cleanliness as needed.
  • Responsible for coordinating client lunch daily.
  • Fulfill Facility Manager duties when the FM is not in the office.
  • Serve as a role model to clients, treatment staff, and guests through a positive, caring, and professional attitude.
  • Maintain the confidential nature of clients and related activities.
  • Comply with the dress code.
  • Complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Adherence to documentation standards.
  • Attend designated staff and in-service meetings.
  • Ability to maintain clear boundaries with clients and staff, set limits and manage clients when in need of direct supervision.
  • Maintains appropriate and professional interactions with clients and staff.
  • All documentation in EMR must be submitted within 24 hours.
  • Any additional duties as assigned by the management team.

Basic Education and Experience Required:

  • The Behavior Technician will have a minimum of a high school diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years driving experience required.
  • Minimum of 1-year working with kids in a therapeutic setting
  • Experience with junior high or elementary students is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and eligibility for insurance with agency’s vehicles.
  • Must have valid First-Aid & CPR Certifications and a criminal background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
