What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shear Operator position at Rowmark?
Title: Shear Operator
Reports To: Press/Lamination Lead
Rowmark proudly manufactures, markets and distributes a wide array of innovative and quality products for our customers primarily in the awards, recognition and signage markets. Our extensive product line of sheet materials are distributed in over 80 countries around the world.
As a Shear Operator you willinspect, cut, and package product. Communicate with press and hot stamp crew
regarding quality and/or manufacturing problems.
Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Inspect, shear and package laminated and hot stamp product (inspection includes processing good-quality sheet (color & gauge) and the proper box identification and count).
· Execute proper paper flow and production reporting.
· Notify press operators and supervisor of any quality or production-related issues.
· Responsible for good housekeeping and safety practices.
· Responsible for remask offline and online hot stamp.
· Must be flexible with product in process in order to meet customer demands and supply warehouse with any product needed.
· Assist with shear blade changes.
· Assist with reworks as necessary.
· Stock supplies (masking).
· Assist with fulfilling orders in the finished good warehouse as needed.
· Complete all other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
· Effective communication and organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work in a team environment, but also independently using time productively with little supervision
· Ability to operate a tow motor, order picker and handheld RF scanners (training to be provided)
· Ability to lift 50 pounds throughout day
· Effective trouble-shooting, problem-solving and math skills
· Ability to operate shear equipment, as needed (training to be provided)
· Understanding of product codes.(training to be provided)
