What is the opportunity?
The IT Security Access Analyst resides within the RBC Bank Cyber division, reporting to the Business Information Security Officer (BISO), and is a trusted partner to the broader IT team within RBC Bank. The IT Security Access Analyst will operate within the first line of defense (1LoD), as well as manage and maintain security access controls for systems and applications, ensuring users have appropriate access levels in compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations. The primary responsibilities include implementing effective security measures to protect sensitive information and maintaining the integrity of access management systems. The role is to communicate logical access policies and standards, execute on controls and recommend new controls where required, conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and support continuous improvement of security technologies. Additionally, while working closely with internal and external partners, the IT Security Access Analyst will support manual user access reviews, access administration and report on logical access risks.
What will you do?
- Work with business partners to perform role mining and identifying segregation of duties risks
- Perform logical access risk assessments to determine gaps against policies and standards and implement mitigation strategies
- Support the onboarding of third-party applications to SailPoint for identity management
- Execute against manual controls to ensure logical access security for applications not onboarded to SailPoint as well as ensure logical access security for applications not onboarded to SailPoint
- Support the onboarding of third-party applications to SailPoint for identity management

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering / Science / Information Security or equivalent experience required
- Experience with Identity and Access (IAM) systems, such as Okta, SailPoint, or Microsoft Azure AD
- Understanding of various access control models, such as Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC), and Least Privilege Principle
Nice-to-have
- Certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional), CISA (Certified-Information-Systems-Auditor), GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials), Network , Security
- Prior experience working with SailPoint
- Proficiency in controls testing/ controls performance
- Expertise in banking/financial industry
