Maintenance Lead

Royal Chemical is looking to hire an experienced Maintenance Lead for the Hayward, CA operations!   Royal Chemical has been in business for over 80 years! We provide essential liquid and powder chemical blending, packaging, and warehouse needs for various industries.    5:30am - 2:00pm Monday - Friday, must be available for OT as needed$32.00 - $36.00 per hour    What we offer? As a Maintenance Lead, some functions of this position include but are not limited to: Lead and train maintenance staff as well as oversee the completion of their work Establish strategies to meet the workload demands and delegate work orders appropriately Routinely inspect equipment and identify problems as necessary Troubleshoot, evaluate, and monitor equipment issues Repair equipment according to work orders Perform preventative maintenance on equipment Work closely with outside vendors & contractors Perform work involving the skill of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of facility in repair Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site Other duties may include pipe fitting, insulating, welding, carpentry, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment   Experience/Competencies Previous supervisor/leadership experience is preferred Minimum 5 years of manufacturing or production experience Previous experience in machine repair, fabrication, electrical, and plumbing required (valves and hoses) Knowledge of machine shop equipment, hand tools, packaging equipment, PLC's, welding, use of cutting torches preferred Must be able to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions in English Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs regularly
