Description:
Royal is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to join our team as our new Regional HR Business Partner. This position is responsible for aligning HR strategies and initiatives to support corporate strategy through close partnership with leadership in designated business units. In this role, you will proactively develop, and intentionally maintain, deep relationships and partnerships centered around trust and collaboration to deliver value-added service in all employee relations functions. This role maintains an effective level of knowledge about their assigned business units and its plans and strategy. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but serves as a mentor for other positions in our Talent Services (HR) Department.

Work Schedule and Location:
This is a full-time, exempt level position working core hours between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST, Monday – Friday, with additional hours as needed. This role will be primarily officed out of Royal Credit Union's White Bear Lake, MN branch, and is eligible for partially remote work following an onboarding period and contingent upon performance. Regular travel between various Royal Credit Union locations across the Twin Cities Metro and St. Croix Valley locations is expected, with occasional travel to Eau Claire, WI.

Training:
Prior to starting a normal work schedule, all new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI. This training runs from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging. Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal’s culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization. There is also an expectation that the individual hired into this role spend a period of at least the first three months of employment with regular travel to Eau Claire, WI for training purposes.

Education and Experience:
Required (candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be considered):
1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, psychology, or another field with concentrated coursework in Human Resources or equivalent in HR job experience.
2. Five (5) years of progressive HR experience, with at least three (3) years’ experience in employee relations as a HR business partner with strategic alignment responsibilities.
3. Experience driving efficiency and consistency in processes through use of HRIS/HCM software.

Preferred:
1. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential

Licenses, Certifications and Other Requirements:
1. Must be bondable
2. Valid driver’s license and maintain it
3. Insured vehicle
