The Manager, ERP Systems reports to the Director, Information Technology and is responsible for integrating, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and associated support systems. Through cross-functional collaboration, the Manager, ERP Systems strategically recommends and implements business solutions that aim to improve business process efficiencies through ERP modules and technology. Through cross-functional collaboration, the Manager, ERP Systems strategically recommends and implements business solutions that aim to improve business process efficiencies through ERP modules and technology. This role contributes at both a tactical and strategic level.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Oversees the work of third-party vendors.
- Develops and manages budget for assigned area.
- Provide primary support for ERP modules and associated systems, currently SAP FICO, CICO, SM SD, AA, and MM modules and report writer.
- Lead the implementation of system changes, testing plans, troubleshooting, and problem resolution across all ERP modules, including interfaces with third-party software.
- Define, review, and drive the ERP systems vision, project roadmap(s), testing, and functionality to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Develop, measure, and monitor the ongoing effectiveness of IT services related to ERP, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify ERP technology solutions aligning with business objectives and define requirements for new systems or process enhancements.
- Plan and manage system changes and projects, including developing functional specifications, configuring enhancements, and providing end-user documentation and training.
- Deliver formal presentations demonstrating a deep understanding of optimizing business processes, systems, and reporting requirements.
- Evaluate third-party vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong partnerships for quality service delivery.
- Stay updated on developments in ERP systems, computer software, hardware, managed services, and IT operations management practices.
- Pursue growth opportunities by attending conferences, workshops, networking, and seeking relevant professional education/certifications.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree - preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or another related field and/or the equivalent in education and work experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant IT experience.
- Working knowledge of basic financial principles (i.e., credits, debits, general ledgers, sales & use tax)
- At least five years of experience in functional support of multiple SAP modules, including but not limited to SAP FICO, SD, AA, CICO, MM, and SM.
- Working knowledge of basis administration.
- Prior experience as a leader in an ERP team.
- Exposure to full life cycle ERP implementations.
- Four or more years of supervisory experience leading application development teams.
- Extensive, demonstrable experience in project management, facilitating communication between vendors, customers/business, and project teams.
- Proven ability to develop tactical plans for the delivery of application services.
- Proficiency in SAP Development Tools, SAP Script, Smart Forms, and all SAP ECC 6.0 modules.
- Working knowledge of hardware and software, including Microsoft development tools and server technologies.
- Familiarity with database design and data modeling techniques.
- Exceptional customer service attitude for both internal and external customers.
- Flexibility to meet customer needs while maintaining a strong work ethic.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Advanced degree such as a master’s degree.
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution industry.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and distribution industry working standards as it relates to ERP systems.
- Two full life cycle SAP implementations.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Some physical requirements may include:

- The ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without assistance.
- The ability to successfully complete the pre-employment process.
