Pool Attendant (Full-Time)

As a member of this family-owned and operated resort, you will help each guest feel like family and will work alongside a diverse and dedicated team.

The Pool Attendant creates memorable guest experiences through efficient service with Aloha. This position acts as the primary point of contact for guests enjoying the hotel’s pool amenity and will champion the service in the pool area by facilitating amenity access, as well as safety and sanitation protocols.

The role of Pool Attendant can provide you with:

A typical shift for the Pool Attendant may include the following responsibilities:

• Set-up or close down pool area including removing upholstery and covering furniture as applicable.
• Verify room registration for guests accessing the pool, and issue pool towels. Monitor pool towel availability and coordinate with housekeeping to replenish supply.
• Prepare cabana and daybed furniture for incoming reservations, greet and escort guests to assigned cabana or daybed and orient them to the amenity and available food and beverage service.
• Ensure guest compliance to safety rules through efficient communication and appropriate reminders and engage in routine duties to maintain a safe pool area.
• Clean and disinfect pool furniture before opening the pool, between guest use and before closure, and coordinate with Housekeeping for larger scale cleaning and sanitation projects.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has a natural aptitude for service and an engaging personality. The ideal candidate possesses previous experience in hospitality, preferably in a position with high guest interaction. The ideal candidate also possesses strong work ethic and excellent time management ability.

The ideal candidate will also possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

• The ability to speak, read and write proficiently in the English language.
• The ability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• The ability to engage in considerable physical activity on a continuous basis and work in hot, humid conditions.
• The ability to effectively multi-task to service multiple guests simultaneously and work independently with high output.
• As a condition of employment, candidate must be able to satisfy all pre-employment screening including criminal background checks, drug screening and personal and professional references.
