Job Description:
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing complete and accurate estimates for commercial painting projects and proactively seek business growth and Development in DFW area and other designated areas after hiring.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates by analyzing proposals, requirements, specifications, and related documents.
- Run a scope takeoff using On-Screen Take Off Estimating Software.
- Send proposals and revisions to clients and response to all questions related to the scope of work.
- Review Plans and Specs revisions to identify any cost impact and revise the proposal accordingly.
- Follow up on submitted proposal periodically.
- Attend network events with clients and vendors.
- Check scope of work after receiving the contracts.
- Help the project team to obtain submittals and samples approvals.
- Review Plans and Specs revisions to identify any cost impact after receiving the the contracts and prepare the change orders accordingly.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Minimum 2 years Related Estimating Experience
- Knowledge of On-Screen Take Off Estimating Software or Similar.
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must be highly detail oriented in nature.
- Strong ability to interact with customers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under tight deadlines
Physical Demands:
- Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Be able to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer and plans
- Vision to read blueprints and drawings
- Be able to kneel, crouch, stoop, twist, reach, push, pull and grasp throughout the day
- Be able to work more than 40 hours per week when requested
- Hearing and speech to communicate in person or over telephone
