Remote Eligibility
This position is eligible to be performed in a hybrid remote arrangement, but on-site time is needed. While project workloads may require more or less on a short term basis, we estimate 40% of time on-site is needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Automation Engineer is responsible for generating innovative and practical solutions to improve quality, safety, and productivity of the manufacturing process through the development of automated solutions. The Mechanical Design focus is responsible for the design and implementation of the mechanics of the solutions.
This individual will be the mechanical subject matter expert for process automation solutions and implementations for the Automation team. S/he will be a member of the Automation team and will work extensively with the other members of the team to provide working solutions. This will include all work from concepting, testing, implementation, and production phases. The primary objective of this team is to develop and implement these solutions in support of the company’s automation goals.

Work Qualifications: · Formal education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience in mechanical design, emphasis in Automation development · Experience: Machine design and build required. Composite experience a plus. · Computer Skills: Common office applications, Demonstratable skill in Solidworks, Inventor or similar. · Certificates and Licenses: 3D CAD certs preferred, but not required Professional Competencies:
