Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Packer/Shipper to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for picking, packing, labeling, and shipping orders with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring that our customers receive their products in perfect condition and on time. This position is critical to the smooth operation of our warehouse and requires someone who can work quickly, maintain focus under pressure, and follow procedures with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Picking and Packing:
- Accurately pick products from designated storage locations based on order specifications.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipment, using materials such as boxes, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts.
- Ensure that each package is labeled correctly and matches the shipping requirements.
- Shipping:
- Prepare parcels for shipping by printing and attaching labels, ensuring all documentation is complete.
- Assist in preparing bulk shipments and managing large orders for dispatch.
- Perform final checks on all orders to ensure the accuracy of the contents, packaging, and labels.
- Report any discrepancies, damaged items, or errors in the picking process to the supervisor immediately.
- Inventory Management Support:
- Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory locations.
- Restock packing stations and shipping supplies regularly to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous warehouse experience in a packing/shipping role is preferred but not required. We will provide training to the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow within our company.
- Attention to detail: Ability to follow procedures closely and ensure accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic computer skills: Experience using warehouse management software (WMS) or similar systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills: Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly with supervisors.
- Dependability and punctuality: We value employees who show up on time and can be relied upon to meet deadlines.
- Good physical stamina: Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus, as well as Forklift experience.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced warehouse environment with tight deadlines to meet shipping schedules.
- Regular use of packing equipment such as tape dispensers, label printers, and shipping software.
- Standing for extended periods and handling packages of various weights and sizes.
