What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Staff position at Royalty Senior Living?
We are looking for creative, competent and enthusiastic care givers to provide royal treatment and care to seniors age 60 in a 6 bed home environment. You are the heart of our service and responsible for our residents' and their loved ones experience With Royalty. Therefore you are held at a high standard when it comes to quality care and customer service. Direct Care Staff responsibilities include ensuring all residents are safe, their daily needs are met within the limits of our license, and that our residents feel safe under your care and your compassionate heart
Responsibilities
- Observes, charts and reports resident behavior.
- Assists residents with activities of daily living.
- Document’s client activities of daily living, response to interventions, and significant behavior changes as appropriate.
- Admits and discharges residents as assigned, including completing associated documentation
- Assists residents with hygienic care.
- Launder residents linens.
- Assists at mealtime by assisting with meal preparation, distributing meals, pouring beverages, and/or feeding members served in need of assistance.
- Facilitates daily activities and groups with residents.
- Transport residents to medical and dental appointments, and any outside activities, as assigned by the Program Administrator/Director.
- Assist residents to take self-administered, prescribed medications.
- Reports all changes in resident’s conditions to immediate supervisor and Administrator immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
Skills
- CNA certification PREFERRED
- Speak the language of the people they support.
- Ability to deal with wide range of personalities.
- Must be able to communicate well in English both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality regulations regarding client information and records.
- Attention to cleanliness and safety

- High school diploma is a plus but not required'
