Drive clamp truck forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move raw paper materials and in process products and finished products, equipment, or materials in warehouse and plant.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for moving raw materials to manufacturing and moving and loading finished product for shipment
- Load and unload semi trailer trucks. Maintain accurate inventory and report any discrepancies.
- May load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
- Perform safety checks on PIV equipment. May lubricate truck, recharge batteries, fill fuel tank, or replace liquefied-gas tank.
- Responsible for inventory control, tracking and reporting inventory utilizing a materials management system.
- Accountable for returning correct inventory product to the assigned location
- Accurately input data into the WBS warehouse system
- Safely operating equipment to move raw materials and finished product and supply manufacturing area with materials as needed
- Selecting correct inventory for all assigned orders and pick tickets
- Perform accurate cycle counts on finished goods
- May empty waste bins and perform other housekeeping duties as needed.
- Performs routine daily inspections on hoist and assures maintenance needs are reported.
- Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies.
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
- Follow the requirements of documented processes as defined in the ISO Quality Manual.

Required Skills
- Ability to operate PIV equipment particularly clamp trucks and forklifts
- Experience with computerized warehouse business systems
- High degree of organization, accuracy and dependability.
- Ability to work in a team environment required.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs with or without an accommodation
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Must be skilled in handling controls for starting, stopping, backings, and driving fork lift trucks through narrow aisles in building, up and down ramps, and in and out of trucks, etc.; and, for lifting, lowering, and tilting clamps and forks by moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate controls. Must know how high, wide, and long the fork lift truck and its load are, and how much the fork lift truck can lift. Good special ability to identify how high and wide a doorway and an aisle must be to drive the fork lift truck and its load; how high and wide the shelf, bin, etc., must be to place the load. Must be able to recognize whether the clamp or forklift truck is able to lift the load and whether the load is properly balanced. Knowledge of the layout of the storage area to be able to find and place items without need for detailed instructions. Skilled in moving clamp and forklift trucks about in places where there is very little room to stack or remove loads.
Required Experience
- 2 years experience in a high-volume shipping/receiving role
- Must have forklift experience, with clamp truck, swing reach and order picker experience preferred.
