What are the responsibilities and job description for the Imaging Operator position at RR Donnelley?
- Setup and operate the digital presses in an efficient, safe, orderly, and quality conscious manner.
- Read and interpret job jackets to determine the type of work to be done, the quantities to be produced, and the materials needed.
- Monitor machine operation, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure proper operation.
- Sort, assemble, and proof completed work.
- Remove printed material or finished products from machines, wrap products, stack products on pallets or skids, or pack them in boxes.
- Retrieve and put away necessary paper stock, clean rollers, add toner and fluids as required and/or needed.
- Maintain accurate production logs, including work volumes and output, materials used, and jobs completed.
- Meet or exceed customers’ expectations by following the requirements as defined on the job ticket and as outlined in established ISO Procedures.
- Read, understand and comply with relevant federal, state, local and company safety regulations and policies (e.g., OSHA, Personal Protective Equipment, Safety Shoes, etc.)
- Troubleshoot technical problems with equipment and learn inventory system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills
Ideal candidate will have experience in setting up equipment, running jobs, performing quality control, & performing regular and preventative maintenance on digital print equipment. HP certified, preferred.
Must have very good oral and written communication skills sufficient to explain methods and/or procedures when completing assignments.
Requires very good organizational skills sufficient to accomplish work by established deadlines and ability to coordinate phases of work with others.
Job requires the ability to lift 20-50 pounds, occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly.
Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, when needed.
Must have very good knowledge of technology to include computers and software programs.
Knowledge of color theory and ability to make adjustments and color corrections, ideal.
Required Experience
Experience in a Digital Print/Imaging Operator role, required.
