Job description

RRAI is an autonomous vehicle technology company with a mission to transform ground autonomy systems in both industrial and defense applications. The Test Engineering team at RRAI works across the entire spectrum of products ranging from autonomous Class 8 trucks to robotic military ground combat vehicles and other platforms. This role, reporting to our Customer Success team, partners directly with other Test Engineers & our Mission Support Technicians to design, execute, and validate product reliability testing. Our team conducts full system-level development testing, new production acceptance testing, and much more. In short, if it needs test miles, we support it. This position is looking for a highly motivated teammate to live in the stunning Wood River Valley, near Sun Valley, Idaho with an emphasis on ground-based autonomy systems. If you are interested in working in an extremely innovative and fast-paced environment, where your work directly makes an impact and difference in the products that are fielded, this a fantastic opportunity.

What You'll Do

As the Site Enablement Lead responsible for operations at our Idaho Test Range (ITR), you tackle whatever is needed to create and foster a successful test range! This is a multi-faceted role that requires balancing between project management, workforce management, and hands-on implementations. You may find yourself building an obstacle course for vehicles one moment and then negotiating lease terms with property managers in the next. You will collaborate across Operations, IT, and Safety to implement the right infrastructure for test execution, product demonstrations, and marketing events. Your immediate priorities shift based on the needs of the operations and programs supported at ITR. You communicate & inform stakeholders of status updates, raise risks and blockers, and make recommendations for improvements. Additionally, you manage and mentor a team of Mission Support Operators (MSOs) on-site. Your team operates vehicles in support of the testing plans executed by our Mission Support Technical Engineers (MSTs). You oversee scheduling and staffing requirements, skillset development, and all other managerial duties for MSOs.
