Reporting to Supply Chain management, this role is responsible for all site activities involving the shipment and receipt of all material, as well as outside carrier coordination (IE : FEDX, UPS, DHL, etc.
Goods may include production materials, chemicals for operations, production equipment, office supplies, etc. This role primarily operates in the Deer Park facility, however must be flexible to work in the Hauppauge facility with short notice.
Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding. Unpacks and receives incoming shipments. Examines outgoing shipments to accuracy, such as part specifications, counts, carrier method, and shipping address.
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Creates shipment documentation from various systems (internal, carrier, customer portals, etc.
Utilizes system for the accurate receipt of purchased materials Tracks shipments as required Delivers material to internal departments as required Provides professional interaction with all departments and organization levels May operate tier-lift truck or use handtruck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
