OVERVIEW:
Construction Innovations is seeking a dynamic, customer-focused leader to serve as Project Manager. The Project Manager provides leadership and acts as the primary advocate for the successful execution of multiple projects for multiple customers. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time and in accordance with the contract requirements and is responsible for ensuring budget conformance for non-product line scopes of work. The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively balance the needs of the customers, field team and internal functional teams, while still maintaining a long-range vision of their projects. For scopes of work included within Construction Innovations product lines, the Project Manager will coordinate closely with Product Managers on schedule and scope.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review project contract scope including plans, specifications, and schedule and comment on possible cost savings measures, and potential construction issues or concerns.
- Define project scope and schedule requirements for internal functional teams.
- Plan, direct and/or coordinate all aspects of project execution including working with engineers, subcontractors and clients as needed.
- Prepare and manage all project documentation, including submittals, progress reports, and other exhibits.
- Review subcontractor bids for conformity to contract requirements and determine acceptable bids.
- Establish and grow relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project schedule, and ensure synchronization with customer, internal stakeholders and other trades.
- Identify and define change scope and communicate cost impacts for change requests.
- Examine estimates, budgets, costs and financial reporting; interpret and analyze reports.
- Provide feedback on progress of project and budget to staff and management.
- Effectively resolve complaints and issues.
- Train and manage project administrators as required.
- Direct, coordinate, and motivate employees to achieve goals and objectives.
- Travel to project job sites as often as the project requires.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Participate in estimate reviews and contribute to proposals for project pursuits.
- Review all aspects of draft contracts, attachments, and references and provide relines and comments as needed.
- Develop new and improve existing standards, templates, procedures and guidelines.

- Moderate knowledge of electrical systems and their components
- Minimum 5 years work experience in construction
- Minimum 3 years work experience in project management
- Minimum 1-year supervisory experience managing direct reports
Senior Project Manager
- Includes all Responsibilities and Desired Skills & Experience indicated above in Levels I and II, and the following
- Additional - Responsibilities
- Manage and or oversee several concurrent projects with multiple clients.
- Lead project management teams as needed for project execution.
- Provide guidance and training to other Project Managers.

- Experience managing highly complex projects.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and their components
- Minimum 7 years work experience in construction
- Minimum 5 years work experience in project management
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Project Manager spends most of their time in an office environment however may regularly spend time at the project site and/or occasionally spend time in the manufacturing plant. The office is an open and collaborative space where work is performed both independently and with the team. When at the plant, work is performed in a more traditional manufacturing environment, with higher noise levels and frequent movement of people and equipment. When on-site, the environment is that of a construction job site, which may be in fairly remote rural locations, and with extreme weather conditions.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
This position reports directly to either a Division Manager or a Project Executive.
CAREER ADVANCEMENT:
Career advancement at Construction Innovations is possible with all positions, but is not guaranteed. Advancement could be within the current department or to other departments within the company.
LOCATION:
Construction Innovations facilities and offices are located in Sacramento, CA and Mather, CA.
COMPENSATION:
Construction Innovations pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employee’s knowledge, experience and skill level.

Qualifications
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years work experience in construction, manufacturing, and/or engineering industries
- Minimum 1-year supervisory experience managing direct reports
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and their components
- Knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and engineering principles and techniques
- Proven written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Email, Technical Writing and Scheduling software)
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
- Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to verbally communicate: convey detailed and accurate instructions and information.
- Ability to hear with or without correction in order to receive and interpret detailed information.
- Required to sit at a desk work station for long periods of time.
- Push, pull, lift, and carry at least 10 pounds.
- Frequently required to walk and stand. This position may involve infrequent site visits which will require the ability to walk on uneven surfaces, climb stairs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Required to have visual acuity with or without correction in order to read contract documents, analyze data, view a computer monitor, and proof-read documents to identify errors.
- Required to use fingers and hands: type using a computer keyboard, handle, feel, and reach.
- May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
