WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Project Manager is responsible for providing leadership to front line field supervisors and office staff on multiple projects for multiple clients. The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively balance customer needs, field force needs and office support staff needs while still maintaining a long-range vision of their projects. Perform duties as described in Rex Moore Role and Responsibilities.
DESCRIPTION:
- Become intimately familiar with Rex Moores core business and operations as well as the operations of the services provided to the client
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers and clients
- Prepare bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits that may be required
- Review bids from other firms for conformity to contracts requirements and determines acceptable bids
- Fosters and enhance owner, contractor, subcontractor and client relations
- Establishes and maintains contact with contractors to ensure the smooth working of the contract awarding process
- Compile data for the preparation of the project schedule
- Manager all documentation associated with the creation and management of projects and subprojects
- Define scope and provide detailed preliminary and final cost estimates
- Examine budget and financial reporting, interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project construction schedule and budget on a recurring basis
- Review the project plans and specifications and comment on the design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures and potential construction issues or concerns
- Ensure regular feedback is shared with staff as well as management on progress of project and budget through regularly scheduled team meetings
- Support and drive utilization of various Rex Moore initiatives and technologies
- Ensure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements throughout the business unit
- Drive competencies to team on requirements for insurance, labor relations and employee relations
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 5 years as well as a minimum of 2 years of supervisory or project management experience in the commercial electrical industry
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and their components
- Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and engineering principles and techniques
- Proven written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Access
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Project Managers report directly to the Senior Project Manager.

LOCATION:
Rex Moore has branch offices located in Sacramento, Fresno and Hayward, CA.
COMPENSATION:
Rex Moore pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employee's knowledge, experience and skill level.
