What are the responsibilities and job description for the Translator - Japanese Bilingual position at RSS?
We are currently seeking multiple Japanese Translators to work out of our Marion, Arkansas plant location, reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager. These individuals will be responsible for translation for daily operating issues related to production, quality, and safety, technical documents, and for high level executives visiting the Arkansas plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Translation for daily operating issues related to production, quality, and safety
- Translation of technical documents and for high level executives visiting the Arkansas plant
- Coordination of Japanese meetings/events/tours
- Coordination/support for relocation of expatriates/dispatchees, foreign travel for domestic team members, and US visits by support members
- Support advisors with management responsibilities and foster cooperation between advisors and plant staff
- Daily translation for operating issues and work group meetings
- Specialized translation for visiting executives from Japan and external suppliers (Japanese and American)
- Coordinate/plan all Japanese meetings, events, tours
- Coordination includes travel arrangements, document/presentation preparation, room/table set-up/tear down, refreshment ordering/pick-up
- Coordination of travel arrangements for support members visiting Arkansas plant
- Relocation assistance for expatriates/ dispatchees including travel, US documentation, housing, utilities, etc...
- Coordination of travel arrangements for plant team members traveling internationally
Experience Level
Minimum two years of experience in a translation role or equivalent combination of experience and education
Educational Requirement
BA/BS in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, Education, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Required Skills
- Japanese Language Mastery both written and verbal
- English Language Mastery both written and verbal
- Skill – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, excellent follow-up and PC skills including Excel, PowerPoint advanced user level
- Ability to understand and explain technical concepts
- Bilingual in Japanese and English.
- Ability to translate technical terms relevant to Manufacturing between Japanese and English.
- Ability to translate documents between Japanese and English.
- Ability to interpret spoken communications between Japanese and English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
