What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Van Driver position at RSU 26?
Van Driver
RSU 26 (Orono) is currently accepting applications for Van Transportation Drivers to work up to 25 hrs/week for the 2023-24 school year. Van driver will transport students using a district-owned van to regional areas from approximately 7-8:30 am (morning route), 10:45 am-12:45 pm (midday Pre-K route), and 2-3:30 pm (afternoon route). Applicants may apply for one, two or all three of the van routes. The full position (all three routes) will total 5 hrs/day during days school is in session. Benefits package (leave, insurance, etc) will be prorated based on the number of hours. Pay range is $16-$20.50/hour based on experience.
Experience working with school age students is a plus. The successful candidate must have a valid State of Maine driver’s license and clean driving record. The successful candidate must hold a current State of Maine CHRC through the Maine Department of Education before beginning work.
