Job Title : Registered Nurse Telemetry
Location: Oak Lawn Illinois 60453
Duration: 13 weeks of contract with strong possibility of extension
Shift :: 12hr Night Shift ( 36 hours / week with every other weekend )
Job Description :
- Responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion and skilled communication, leads efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
- Experience: 2 years
- Patient Types: Progressive Telemetry Unit with med Surg overflow
- Patient Ratios: RN: 1:4 (days); 1:5 (nights)
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Skills required: Experience with MI, Post interventions (ICDs, pacemakers, stent placement), CHF, Renal patients
- Support on the Unit: Free floating Charge nurse (rarely may take partial pt load), RN/Phlebotomy share lab draws
- Hospitalist 24/7, Centralized Telemetry monitoring with Tele tech, Unit secretary on dayshift
- Charting System/Equipment: EPIC (experience required), Alaris, Pyxis
- Floating: Other telemetry floors and sometimes MSU's; Mid-shift floating possible
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: From $80.00 per hour
