Summary: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cisco Network Infrastructure Engineer with an active Secret clearance to support our mission-critical Cisco networking infrastructure at the MASC-Ext located at Schriever Space Force Base (SFB). The successful candidate will maintain, test, deploy, and troubleshoot network devices such as switches, routers, threat defense systems, and TACLANEs.
Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and support the Cisco networking infrastructure, including switches, routers, threat defense systems, and TACLANEs at the MASC-Ext, Schriever SFB.
- Test and deploy network configurations and ensure optimal performance and security.
- Perform troubleshooting tasks to identify, diagnose, and resolve network-related issues.
- Engineer architectural solutions to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
- Perform software/firmware upgrades on network devices to maintain up-to-date systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support for network services.
- Maintain strict adherence to security protocols and compliance requirements.
Basic Qualifications: - Active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cisco networking, including routers, switches, and network security.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with TACLANEs and network threat defense systems.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications: - Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher certification.
- Experience working in a military or government environment.
- Knowledge of Space Force Base operations and requirements.
- Familiarity with encryption devices and configurations
- Experience deploying Static Routes, RIP, OSPF, ISIS, and BGP dynamic protocols
- VLANs, SVIs, and redundant gateway protocols
- Experience with DoD STIGs and compliance
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Interpersonal relationship skills are a must.
Security Clearance: This position requires an
Active DoD Secret Clearance (T5); you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
