JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Cash Office Clerk
Reports To: Director of Administration
Type of Position: Part-Time Status: Non-Exempt Hours: 15 hours/week
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Count daily income for various departments and groups.
- Count back money and accurately make change.
- Prepare, update, and maintain various daily and monthly reports for distribution.
- Report any inaccuracies in data and income.
- Use computers to calculate and record data.
- Prepare bank deposits by compiling data and money from cashiers.
- Send cash, checks, or other forms of payment to the bank.
- Verify, balance, and double check receipts.
- Reports concerns about cash office operations to manager.
- Handle petty cash.
- Verify, count, and total miscellaneous deposits.
- Responsible for cleanliness, tidiness, and overall appearance of office area.
- Ability to multi-task using other office skills such as answering phones, making copies, and filing.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Education and Other Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years experience handling money.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be licensed to operate a motor vehicle and have an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and lift 30 pounds.
- Ability to lift, grab, press, and push to perform essential duties.
Qualifications and Required Skills:
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must possess excellent computer skills and be proficient in MS Office and POS.
- Must have knowledge of currency/counterfeiting safeguards.
- Knowledge of basic math skills (counting, adding, subtracting).
- Ability to read, interpret, and respond to necessary documents.
- Ability to work with minimum amount of supervision.
