As the Cook, you will be providing nutritious meals to children while keeping accurate records of inventory and purchases. You will report to the Center Manager and work closely with the Wellness manager to ensure efficient procedures are implemented to meet the needs of the staff, families, and the communities served by RUCD. Good Nutrition helps ensure students are better prepared to learn, you’ll be helping build a foundation for optimal learning. - Current Food Handler’s Permit and pass the Food Safety Manager Certification within twelve months of hire.
- Ideally, you have previous experience in the food and/or nutrition industry.

- Starting wage at $16.72 hour (additional education will be considered in final pay rate)

What you’ll do:
- Create and maintain an inventory of food and non-food items at the beginning and end of each school year, and at other times as necessary.
- Track budget for all food and non-food items, as well as keep complete and accurate records of all purchases by following our purchasing procedures.
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitary.
- Assist teaching staff in integrating nutrition education into the curriculum.
- Create and maintain an inventory of food and non-food items at the beginning and end of each school year, and at other times as necessary.
