Ruchman is looking to hire a Visitor Services Assistant to support the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC). The VSA shall welcome and orient visitors to the museum, answer their questions about the museum’s history and collections, and offer directions to the museum’s galleries and public spaces. The VSA will also distribute tickets and monitor timed entry for individuals and groups. Individuals must be articulate, dependable, have strong interpersonal skills and exceptional customer service experience, and work well under pressure. Position requires basic computer skills to research and provide information.
Position Requirements:
Minimum of two years of public-facing, customer service experience at a museum, cultural institution or attraction.
