AV Technician entry level

We are seeking a motivated and entry-level AV Technician to join our team, specializing in residential homes and low-voltage installations. As an AV Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audiovisual systems in residential settings. Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Setup:Assist in the installation of audiovisual equipment such as home theater systems, smart home devices, security cameras, and low-voltage wiring.
Collaborate with senior technicians to ensure proper placement and configuration of equipment for optimal performance.

System Testing and Troubleshooting:Conduct testing of installed systems to ensure functionality and performance meet established standards.
Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.

Cable Management and Wiring:Assist in running low-voltage wiring, ensuring neat and organized cable management.
Work with senior technicians to adhere to industry standards and best practices for cable installations.

Customer Interaction:Communicate with clients in a professional and courteous manner, providing basic explanations of system functionality.
Assist in educating clients on the proper use and maintenance of installed AV systems.

Documentation:Maintain accurate records of installed equipment, wiring diagrams, and configurations.
Assist in preparing documentation for clients and internal use.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications a plus.
• Basic understanding of audiovisual technology and low-voltage systems.
• Strong interest in learning and developing technical skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and take direction from senior technicians.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in residential environments and providing customer service.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in various residential settings, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
