Job Summary:
Ruggable, a rapidly growing and innovative disruptor in the home goods industry, is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced Vice President of Tax, Treasury and Risk Management to lead a small but mighty Tax and Treasury team. The Vice President of Tax/Treasury/Risk Mgmt is an integral leader in the Accounting and Finance Department. On the Tax side, this role is responsible for researching tax issues, completing tax filings, managing outside consultants, ensuring legal compliance, and establishing best practices and processes within the organization. On the Treasury side, this role is responsible for managing cash, cash forecasting, and debt service. Additionally responsible for strategies related to working capital, cash controls, loan management, and covenants. On the Risk Management side, you'll be responsible for managing all insurance policies and vendors.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage the tax team to ensure annual tax returns (income tax, sales and use tax, VAT, GST, HST, PST), state and federal tax estimate calculations, and property tax reports are all accurate and filed on time
- Prioritize investor relations and on time delivery of essential tax documents to Ruggable’s members
Manage banking relationships and ensure covenant compliance under our lender agreements - Create strategies for the company to optimize our Tax position and our lending facilities
- Own and improve Ruggable cash forecasting and investment guidelines
- Lead all Tax, Treasury and Risk Mgmt requirements for our International locations and new businesses
- Complete other duties and special projects as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer
Required:
- Exemplary tax, accounting, and excel skills
- In-depth knowledge of US state, federal, and other countries’ tax codes, laws, and regulations
- Knowledge and experience with US partnership tax laws is a must
- Knowledge and experience with credit agreements, managing bank covenants and cash forecasting
- Experience managing corporate income tax compliance for multi-national and multi-state filings
- Understanding of transfer pricing
- Demonstrated success building, developing and leading a high performing team

- Strong analytical thinking and exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail - Ability to meet tight deadlines, manage time effectively, and solve problems
Nice to Have:
- Understanding of capital markets and capital allocation
- Comfort with cash flow statements
- Basic knowledge or interest in managing currency risks
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Banking or treasury experience
- 8-10 years of experience in tax, treasury, finance, or accounting
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CPA for the U.S.)
Compensation:
- $200,000-$225,000 per year base salary
- An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
- Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
