Second Shift - 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
POSITION SUMMARY
Trimmer 2 is an intermediate skill level of trimmer and is responsible to work in a primary trimming position. This position performs moderate skill levels of trimming such as all requirements of the Trimmer 1 position with the addition of 2 or more of the following more advanced trimming requirements: trim front, trim backs, trim final cut on wheel wells, or cut out floor liners (steady hand required) utilization of hook blade knife. This position requires the use of numerous tools such as box cutters, hook blade knifes, pneumatic trim saws, rivet guns, drills, reamers/scrappers and two-handed trim saws.
CORE FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Completing core trimming requirements for 10 hour shifts while meeting production standards of 130 parts per day.
Loading trim fixtures by removing bed liner from rotary machine after coming out of the oven and moving it by hand to trim fixtures (uncut part weighs roughly 80 pounds).
Moving final trim product (roughly 60 pounds) from trim fixture to cooling table to clean out and correct deviations in quality after a final inspection is performed.
Move final product to palletized stack while inserting foam or wood spacers per customers shipping requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
Reasoning Ability
Ability to identify deviations in quality standards to discern between a good part and a bad part.
