We are looking for a Safety Monitor to ensure the safety and security of the staff and monitor activity in the building and the grounds.

Responsibilities:
- Patrols the property and alerts leadership personnel of all safety and security concerns.
- Responses to emergencies and intervenes in interpersonal conflicts and directs staff in crisis situations.
- Monitors for vandalism, theft, and trespassing on property
- Evaluate the nature and severity of conflicts (verbal disputes versus. physical altercations)
- Determines action required to resolve conflicts.
- Acts as a mediator to resolve conflicts.
- Investigates incidents, contacts police officers as necessary.
- Provides a detailed report to Human Resources of incidents.
- Provides details of incidents to police.
- Serve as a witness in associated legal proceedings
Requirements
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff
- Communicating and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Applying judgment when dealing with angry, hostile, or uncooperative individuals.
- Able to stand for long periods of time, walk, use hands dexterously, reach, climb or balance, stoop/kneel/crouch or crawl
