What You’ll do

 

 

As a Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for administering various human resources plans, benefits, compliance, policies, and employee relations. 

  • Administer various human resources related processes or initiatives and take a hands-on role with day-to-day human resource tasks.
  • Manage benefit administration, included self-funded insurance and 401(k)
  • Continually assess the competitiveness of all programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets
  • Develop progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs that encourage associate alignment with company needs and provide motivation, incentives, and rewards for effective performance.
  • Partner with Store Support HR to provide the stores with resources and training needed for effectiveness with HR-related matters and to maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce human resources policies and procedures.
  • Utilize HR Information System (Mangrove) and other resources for analysis of the HR function and the people resources of the corporation.
  • Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions.
  • Lead associates in a way that exemplifies the leadership principles taught in Rural King’s Thrive Leadership Program.
  • Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

Essential Qualities for Success

 

  • At least 5 years of broad HR experience and bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • Professional Certification of PHR, SPHR, or GPHR preferred.
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficient
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency with an HR system.
  • An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization.
  • Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and effectively.
  • Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire onboarding process remotely.
  • Ability to complete computer-based training.

Physical Requirements  

 

  • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
  • Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
  • Able to navigate and access all facilities.
  • Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
  • Close vision for computer-related tasks.
