We are seeking an Human Resources Clerk to contribute to the success of the Human Resources Department by providing administrative and clerical support in key areas as well as assisting with department projects and initiatives on an as-needed basis.

Compensation will be based on experience and skill level.

Responsibilities
Effectively and Efficiently Ensures All Personnel Files Are Filed and Maintained Properly
- Maintain and file all personnel, benefits, background check and termed files daily.
- Creates benefit and personnel files on an as needed basis.
- Reads/examines incoming material for accuracy and legibility, gets clarification if necessary, classifies properly, and files within appropriate file system.
- Terms employee files by combining personnel, benefits, background, and payroll documents to create termed folder.
- Searches for and retrieves information contained in files as requested.
- Maintains organization and filing system of file room.
- Transfers I-9 for termed employees to termed I-9 folder issuing a purge date, and tracks I-9 documents for expiration dates.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Provides Effective Project Support to Human Resources Team As Needed
- Prepares materials and documents for trainings and meetings.
- Assists Human Resources Team in compiling forms and data for projects.
- Provides assistance during department personnel file and compliance audits.
- Assists Human Resources Coordinator with input of updated employee information in HRB such as change of address or telephone.
- Assists Human Resources Coordinator with input and tracking of Employee Pull Notice (EPN) and termination updates from DMV & Vehicle Insurance Program within 24 hours.
Effectively and Efficiently Executes Key Administrative Tasks for Entire Department
- Prepares documents and packets in preparation for new hire orientation.
- Works with Human Resources Coordinator to maintain and coordinate office supply orders while ensuring alignment with allocated budget.
- Coordinates orders and product delivery with various outside vendors.
- Assists with managing the telephone and voicemails of the general office phone line.
- Tracks and orders service award pins and coordinate all award certificates.
- Initiates and coordinates all shipping and mailing needs of department, including inter-office mail, as needed.
Qualifications
- Education; Required H.S. Diploma/GED
- At least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Experience (Desired): A minimum of 1 year in position of HR Clerk or similar and have completed some college coursework in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology or a relevant discipline.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred to have interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources.
Degree/Diploma
High School Diploma/GED : Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology RequiredLicenses Required
Valid CA Driver License
