We are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to contribute to the success of the Business Office Department by effectively and efficiently managing the bank and floor plan reconciliations and preparation of various filing for all franchise locations in addition to maintaining sales records and taking appropriate action on various accounting duties and processes.

Responsibilities
Effectively and Efficiently Manage Bookkeeping Functions for All Franchises:
- Reconcile all bank activity on a daily basis; ensure company books are identical to bank’s books; verify all EFT for accuracy
- Reconcile all Bank Reserve statements and schedules
- Reconcile and email bi-weekly CIT schedule to Corporate Finance Director
- Prepare monthly floor plan reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items timely
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items timely
- Assist with preparing Tire Tax return and CA Lead Acid Battery Fee return
- Assist with preparing Sales Tax return and Unclaimed Property
- Assist as needed in, but not limited to, these areas:
- Reconciling and finalizing month end procedures
- Directing and archiving of all business documents and files for purging and/or sending to storage
- Review schedule and audit for books (such as, but not limited inventory schedules, F&I product schedules, etc.)
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in position of Bookkeeper or similar positions in automotive industry.
- Required; High School Diploma/GED/ or Equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Required: Current California Driver License with satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicle driving record.
