A global biotechnology company is looking to hire a contract Communications Specialist!
Location: REMOTE/ Boca Raton, FL - 25% travel required
Contract: 1 Year
Pay: $60-68/ hourly depending on experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports to the Director and Operations Program Lead
- Responsible for working as a core team member supporting the development, implementation, and optimization of a next-generation donor management system.
- Provide both internal and external communications expertise, delivering both strategic and tactical support.
- Work closely and collaboratively with communications team members to develop strategic communications plans, author, and routinely implement those plans verbally and/or written.
- Work closely and collaboratively with organizational change management team members to align communications strategy and execution with the business and donor management system end users at the top of mind.
- Monitor, tracks progress, and gather feedback of strategic communications plans to ensure effectiveness for target audiences.
- Effectively align employees and stakeholders with the strategic objectives and benefits of the next-generation donor management system program.
- Advance relevant, timely business change communications across varied internal and external communications channels.
- Coordinate and develop internal and/or external communications materials and events in support of the next-generation donor management system program.
- Create and deliver communications to multiple audiences at varying levels within the organization.
- Support and collaborate with functional and other internal stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and advance communications needs and opportunities.
- Advises program core team of potential communications opportunities or pitfalls to be aware of throughout the life of the program.
- May also provide communications counsel to internal departments and special events.
- Experience developing strategic launch plans and tactile execution of communications for large-scale process changes that greatly impact end users and the customer.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or a closely related field
- At least 5-7 years of progressive experience related to organizational communications, to include both internal and external communications.
- Experience developing strategic launch plans and tactile execution of communications for large-scale process changes that greatly impact end users and the customer.
- Experience in developing and managing effective communications strategy, content development across varied tactics and channels.
- Excellent writing, editing and creative communications competencies.
- Change management communications experience preferred including ADKAR® or similar people change management certification.
- Strong organizational and stakeholder engagement skills
- Highly motivated, independent contributor who anticipates business needs while tracking deadlines and plan progress.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details to handle multiple tasks, short deadlines, frequent interruptions and shifting priorities in support of changing company objectives.
- Strong presentation skills with experience conducting large group meetings in-person and virtually.
- Experience with pharmaceutical, biotech or other regulated industry (preferred)
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (preferred)
This position requires overnight travel, required up to 25% of the time.
