What are we looking for in our Photo Producer?

Photo Assistant

Contract: August - Nov 2024

PR: 40 - 48/hr depending on YOE

Hybrid in Sunnyvale, CA

Schedule Notes: 24 hours a week, Tuesday-Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Photographer on set with image ingestion and color prep using Capture One.
• Support the lighting setup and occasionally execute shots under the direction of the Lead Photographer.
• Perform color correction, processing image selects, and manage delivery workflows.
• Work closely with the service guide production team to retouch technical photography, add basic graphical information overlays, and prepare studio photography for publication.
• Maintain high-quality standards in all photographic outputs to meet the expectations of a global audience.
• Efficiently use standard retouch and prep processes to ensure seamless handoff of work to other team members.
• Perform background removals, color adjustments (for consistency), and proper layer organization for maximum efficiency.
  
  

Requirements

• Proficient in Photoshop, with the ability to perform high-quality retouching and prep work.
• Familiarity with Capture One for image ingestion from tethered cameras.
• Experience in a professional photo studio environment, supporting photographers on set.
• Knowledge of lighting techniques and the ability to execute shots when required.
• Experience with color correction, image selects processing, and delivery workflows.
• Ability to work within a corporate workflow, ensuring efficient use of standard retouch and prep processes.
• Strong skills in background removal, color adjustments, and layer organization.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team and work independently when needed.
• Some experience in working with technical photography and graphical information overlays.
