Hybrid Schedule: Our hybrid work environment includes two (2) remote days/week.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Manager - Corporate Quality provides leadership and support for product and process improvement of internally produced items and creation and maintenance of the Rust-Oleum quality management system. Provides indirect leadership of the plant quality managers.

This role will work closely with the corporate and plant quality teams, manufacturing, R&D and our product management teams to ensure the highest quality of Rust-Oleum’s products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Owns and improves the Rust-Oleum Quality Management System (QMS). Ensures that the QMS is well documented and executed across all Rust-Oleum manufacturing plants and R&D.
• Plans and performs quality audits at all locations and oversees corrective and preventive actions.
• Will be responsible for evaluating data and identifying the causes of problems and identifying and implementing creative solutions.
• Responsible for driving improvements in quality performance. Identifies and leads quality improvement initiatives across the organization that will yield improvements in First Time Right, non-conforming production and product complaint rates.
• Indirectly leads the Rust-Oleum plant quality manager team and identifies areas for ongoing development of the team to drive improved performance.
• Leads the resolution of quality problems that occur from internal manufacturing of Rust-Oleum products to ensure consumer satisfaction is protected and risk to the company is minimized.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferred degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical) or Chemistry – with 5-10 years of experience (in a manufacturing setting) or equivalent process industry or consumer products manufacturing experience.
• Experience in quality management as at the engineer or manager level.
• Knowledgeable in chemical manufacturing equipment and processes,
• Proficient in MS office, Statistical analysis (Minitab, etc). SAP experience desirable.
• Preferred: ASQ certification, or experience in lean, six sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Should possess organizational savvy to drive action in a cross-functional organization.
• Skilled at designing and implementing effective business processes across a multi-location organization.
• Comfortable in an office setting as well as an industrial environment, lifting 30 lbs.
