An excellent opportunity has arisen to join The Euclid Chemical Company team as a Reliability Engineer. Euclid Chemical is a fully owned subsidiary of RPM International (NYSE: RPM), one of the world's largest coatings companies. For more than 110 years, Euclid Chemical has supplied construction and restoration markets with treatments, sealants, coatings, sealers, and decorative products.

General Purpose: This role is responsible for ensuring reliability and predictability of production processes and equipment.  The Reliability Engineer will perform critical equipment assessments, develop procedures, procure parts, and manage projects to maximize equipment reliability.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering and technical support for maintenance, production, and capital teams
  • Partner with production to develop strategies to improve equipment reliability and Overall Equipment Effectiveness 
  • Perform critical equipment assessments to identify and prioritize repairs
  • Procure parts, supplies, and equipment 
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and equipment servicing
  • Perform root cause analysis investigations on failures and significant equipment downtime causes
  • Develop and track equipment reliability metrics and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance procedures to ensure optimal equipment reliability
  • Involved in the development of maintenance schedules and strategies to maximize equipment uptime
  • Manage equipment reliability and continuous improvement projects
  • Manage select CAPEX projects
  • Executes ISO 9001 requirements within areas of responsibility
  • Perform MS-168 functions within areas of responsibility
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Health and Safety Protocols and company policies
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Compensation:

  • $70,000 - $90,000 plus annual bonus program

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
  • 5 years of related experience and/or training

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing and chemical processes
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • SAP knowledge & Autocad skills are preferred 
  • Project Management

Physical requirements: 

Must be capable of sitting, standing, lifting and walking for extended periods of time. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.  Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
