What are the responsibilities and job description for the ERP/Production Support Specialist position at RW Gate Mfg?
Since 2014, RW Gate Company has designed and manufactured the highest quality water control gates and related equipment used in water control systems. In a short time, we have become a leader in the Water and Wastewater industry.
The responsibilities of this position focus on Manufacturing Order creation, editing order details, Manufacturing Order processing, and receiving of purchased inventory within the materials planning group. Accuracy and proactive execution of tasks are critical in this position to ensure Inventory integrity and effective material planning.
1. Creating Manufacturing Orders for internal processes using Sales Forecast Schedule dates as master production schedule.
- Editing Manufacturing Order pick-list to match material requirements per project.
- Ensuring all routings and transfers are accurate and complete.
- Interface with Material Planning, Purchasing, and Material Handling as to any shortages as they may arise.
- Assist with Identifying and correcting errors as needed relating to MO item shortages.
2. Creating Manufacturing Orders for offsite processes relating to the fabrication/machining of raw materials.
- Releasing/Printing/Delivery of Manufacturing Orders to Shop Floor Material Handling staff for subsequent receiving and stocking.
- Accurately execute the creation and material transactions required for offsite material movements, from initial source provider to offsite vendors for processing. This includes generating linked Purchase Orders and subsequent receipts when material is delivered.
- Review Manufacturing Orders for qty/cost variances and the receipts/completion of in Tolerance orders for closing.
- Weekly monitor and conduct internal audits to ensure offsite inventory balances are “reasonable”.
3. Daily creation and printing of Travelers for the Assembly Shop Floor.
- Job Pack Pick List, Quality drawings, and Project Cover sheets printed daily.
- Interface and work with Materials Group as well as Production Manager to ensure timely creation of the travelers are available before assembly is scheduled to begin.
- Monitor Manufacturing Order status to ensure WIP is accurate and current.
4. Assist with Inventory Cycle Counts as needed on a weekly basis.
- Coordinate with Production Manager and Material Handling to ensure any late material transactions are completed prior to initiating cycle count process.
- Provide Count sheets to staff, enter count data, and posting of counts into GP.
- Provide variance reports for review.
5. ERP Database clean up and maintenance.
- Assigned task as needed from Operations Engineer, Finance, or Admin relating to ERP maintenance.

- Previous ERP material/inventory experience within a manufacturing, engineered to order, or project based environment

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
