What you bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of eight years’ experience in boundary and construction surveying
- Five years or more of survey experience
- Familiarity with utility locating
- Commitment to work with other disciplines within RWA.
- Extensive knowledge of professional surveying practices and procedures and state and federal laws affecting land surveying and boundaries.
- Proficient with the operation and maintenance of Leica total stations, Leica and Trimble GPS equipment, Leica electronic levels, and other measuring instruments
- Proficient with electronic data collection systems and processes
- Must be able to download and process data files and perform complex survey computations using various software programs
- Working knowledge of Leica Total Station equipment preferred
What you'll do:
- Manage survey projects and be self-motivated as a one-man crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys for public and private sectors.
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of survey equipment, taking field notes, data collection, performing calculations, and working with staff and clients on projects.
- Work with the geomatics services manager and project managers to achieve department goals
- Provide quality control and quality assurance on geomatics deliverables
- Maintain good client relations
- Additional duties as needed
